Your store was awesome! we were heading into GR from Muskegon when I heard a noise from under the car. Upon investigation, I found that a belt had broken. It was critical that we reach our destination as we were attending a family member's birthday party. Once I contacted Steve at Tuffy's, he said, yes, come on in. We close at 3 so the earlier you get here, the sooner we can get the job done. Well, after being picked up from a relative, my wife and I continued to the birthday party. About 90 minutes later, I received a call from Steve who said the repair had been made. Your store saved me a lot of aggravation being from out of town, and on a Saturday. You guys rock.

Got right in to have my explorer front right end fixed. Bought the explorer at car city and 3 days later the stabilizer bar went bad. They covered the warranty part and had it fixed in 3 hrs. Went into this tuffy store on a what I thought would be a busy Wednesday morning to find out about financing an all new brake job on front and back asked what it would run me as I am a delivery driver so having good brakes was a must! Well after getting the quote and the approval I made an appointment for the next day however I made 1 delivery and my back brake locked up. Called cuz I was hearing a clunking/clicking noise when I turned and at drive thrus when I started n stopped, they got me in right away. I was sure it was going to be a pricey fix but it was just snow under my tires next to the brakes and I kept hearing a hissing noise in my vents when the air was on low which turned out to be leaves in the cabin filter. Thankfully nothing major was wrong but I'm so grateful they removed all that for free and assured me nothing was wrong on the front end which I was worried bout. I called this Tuffy location near closing time on 11/10/20 needing a last minute wheel alignment before an upcoming long road trip. They told me theyd try their best to get it done same day if I could drop the car off first thing in the morning. They remembered me in the morning, the staff was polite and professional, they did my alignment same day, and it was a great value compared to my dealership. Ill be back in the future. Tuffy corporate should consider investing a bit in this location, as the inside seemed run down and dated. The employees seem to be doing a great job, there were plenty of cars being worked on and waiting, and I think the location deserves some investment (though the actual service was great).

This review is late in coming, but very well deserved for Tuffy's in Grand Haven. My wife and I were driving back from vacation on a Saturday when our hood latch malfunctioned and the hood would not close. We were driving from Pentwater back to Chicago and pretty much everything was closed or would be closed before we could get there. As we drove into G.H we saw that Tuffy was open. We pulled in, explained our situation to Dan and even though they were very busy and almost at closing they took the time to get to fix our hood latch. When I asked how much I owed, he said nothing - that he know how important safety was on long trips. A truly great team!

Its hard to find honest, direct, and helpful service centers today, but Tuffys on Clyde Park is that shop. I take 2 cars there for oil changes and each time Im more impressed. I approached my car as I prepared to leave a parking lot, and I noticed that my front Illinois license plate/holder was half off my car. I looked for an auto repair shop on line and found Tuffy on Beacon Blvd. I found a very nice gentleman named Dan in the office who agreed to look at it for me. In no time he had it fixed in position as it should be. I am very appreciative and would definitely suggest talking to Dan if your car is in need of maintenance. I just have to say I am so greatful for Tuffy. Me and my best friend went on our first solo road trip together and her car almost didn't make it. About 1/4 of the way home (Chicago land area) her car was shaking and just not fairing well with the service engine soon light flashing. We stopped at an auto zone and had them run the code and were told we needed to head to a mechanic ASAP. We found Tuffy and they were able to quickly diagnose what was wrong. Sadly we did have to stay overnight (but to be fair they close at 6 and we pulled in at 4). Thankfully they were able to finish up within the hour and we were well on our way. I'm so greatful for their kind demeanor, quick and accurate service, and the free wifi.

Excellent service. I needed a new belt and was quoted $175 to $280 from other local garages.He quoted me $100. Brought it in and it ended up being an AC belt. My AC did not work anyways. I'm writing this review in response to the service I received at this location by a mechanic named Aaron. I brought my Jeep to him, upon recommendation. We argued pro's and con's about some ideas I had on performance upgrades and after some time and research I came to the conclusion that he definitely knew his stuff and I proceeded to spend a good amount of money there because I felt I was actually getting my moneys worth, which is a lot more than I can say for some other shops around town. So basically, this is my go to shop now, everybody I've met at the shop has been very helpful and generous, just a good bunch of guys. 5 stars from me!

David, the manager, is the man! I am a female and these body shops take advantage of us. I was so fed these repair shops lying about things that are not broken/damaged, paying for services that were never performed (Muffler Man, to be honest), and fixing one problem, then something else is wrong.....must I go on. I tested David. I know my vehicle and have read my manual. I went in to have a free inspection to see what David will tell me to see if i could trust him. And he did just that and informed me that I didn't need Oxygen sensor. Overall, he saved me time, money, and frustration. I only let David and Danny (tech) work on my vehicle. If you want the truth at an affordable price AND great customer service, I recommend Tuffy on 44th and Kalamazoo. Definitely get what you pay for at a great price and honest feedback.

My car broke down while visiting the Tulip Festival in Holland MI. My car was towed on a Friday night late to Tuffy's. We had an excellent experience. Staff was friendly and even though they were booked, they got us in, repaired, and back on the road before noon. The company has a new SOS policy that is designed to help stranded motorists get service quickly. We were stranded and so thankful for the awesome service we received. The only thing that bothers me is that I didn't call this place sooner. I have never dealt with someone so willing to go above and beyond for their customers. I called yesterday and spoke to Rob, whom I believe is the manager at this location in Wyoming off of 44th and Clyde Park. I explained the problems my son was having with his truck and he promised that it would be worth it for me to bring it in. I did and it was definitely worth it. Not only did he have fixed what was needed but also something else that would of had me back sooner than later. I didn't feel taken advantage of because I was female, he didn't treat me any less than important. I later had an issue completely unrelated to what was fixed and called Rob up a little panicked, but because he made me feel so comfortable earlier I felt great in calling him. While a much-loved employee is gone, Rob and other staff are definitely on task. Must sing praises to a fine, strappin' young lad named Wade. When I kindly refused their transport service when I dropped off my car and opted for the bike ride home, I asked if it was in their job description to first put some air my rear tire. Young Wade hauled the bike out of the van, checked BOTH tires and oiled the chain, inspected alignment, and chatted all the while. I said, "I'll bet you're around the age of my older son." He said, "Twenty-three?" And I said "EXACTLY!" Then when he was done, he asked my name, and reached out to shake my hand. They're all like that at this place. Rob went out of his way to assure expedient service and help with payment arrangements, and Jeff just today checked the air in my Honda's front tires, simply when I asked if he could. Bunch of great people. Highly recommend.

Two of the guys at Discount Tire said they couldn't fix my truck but told me to take it to Tuffy which is around the corner. They also said that the manager is a good guy and is honest. Good guy and HONEST. I went to Tuffy on Kalamazoo Ave. They were absolutely right. Your manager took the time and explained the issue with my truck, setup an appointment and got me on the road. This is my third opportunity to to have the crew at Tuffy Muffler/ Fuller Ave. work on my vehicles. This time I brought in a bent pipe on an expensive, high performance exhaust system. The technician (I didn't catch his name) went to work while I watched, heating and carefully getting the part back to it's original shape and location. Even when I thought is was done, he still wasn't satisfied. It ended up perfect ... like the mishap never happened. The labor charge was lower than reasonable. It's great when the technician working on your car shows as much (or more) care and attention to detail as you would. This has been the case every time I have taken a car there.

On August 12, 2014 I was driving home from Michigan to Chicago. My battery had dies that morning and I needed a jump. I knew the battery had to be replaced. As we were driving, we stopped off in Grand Haven and I noticed a Tuffy's. I had used them in Chicago from time to time. I went in to inquiry about replacing my battery. I have NEVER had such a great experience, not just auto, but across service organizations. I was in and on my way home in 30 minutes! What also impressed me was the shop itself. It was IMMACULATE. You can tell that those who work there really care about their shop, work, and customer service. It was so impressive, that I want to go back for more service! I have had multiple repairs done at this Tuffy location and couldn't be happier. They've repaired the fuel pump on my car, and wheel bearings on my boat trailer. They always provide honest advice, seem to get it done super fast, and their prices consistently seem to be WAY lower than all the other places I call for quotes (always get several estimates.) Me knowing nothing about cars figured I needed a muffler for my 1994 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme cause it was loud. I came in they checked it out sure enough the muffler had been on the car since it was built in 1994. Chris advised hay let us look at the car again to make sure that the muffler was the only reason the car was loud it was not only the muffler I needed a new motor mount. They promptly replaced both the muffler and the motor mount and the muffler my baby is purring like kitten now. I was so amazed at how they showed integrity and morals as well as had a smile on there faces at 730am I am more then happy with there kindness honesty and patience. They were so nice even the customers were nice I am going back. It feels good to be able to take your car some where and they take care of your car no matter how old the car is . The crew at this Tuffy store on Fuller Ave. did an outstanding job replacing the front struts on my 2006 Cadillac SRX. I could not wait a week for Harvey Cadillac to get me in, in order to get the job done. The Caddy was limping. The compressor for my air conditioner was going out. My mechanic couldn't get me in and advised this couldn't wait. Tuffy got me in the next day. He's price was very fair compared to 2 other quotes. The radiator was damaged during the install and they replaced it with a new radiator at their cost. I also got a coupon for free oil change and discount on future work. I will be back.

I have taken my 2001 Ford Taurus to your location at 610 28th St SE Grand Rapids MI 49548 a few times for various repairs and service. Each time I have taken the car in, I speak to Gary. In late January part of the service was changing my windshield wipers. Today, my wipers were not working well - the drivers side blade was not touching the windshield. I decided to go back to Tuffy to see if Gary could help me during my short lunch hour. Unfortunately, my schedule was packed for the day so I had a very short window of time. Despite having numerous people waiting in the lobby and having every bay occupied with a vehicle, Gary was able to have a mechanic look at my car right then; he determined that the only problem was a broken blade and replace the blade all at no cost to me. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, ensuring I was not late for my other commitments.
